I

believe that therapy is a special time for individuals to explore their identity and to focus on the person they wish to be. I especially value giving individuals (particularly children) a voice that allows them to be heard.  I am honored to be a therapist and to be able to spend this introspective time with you. I hope to meet you on a neutral playing field by offering you a safe and nurturing environment to discuss your needs and concerns.

I received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Rhodes College and went on to pursue a Masters in Education in Human Development Counseling from Vanderbilt University. I have over five years of experience as a therapist in private practice, non-profit, and school-based settings with significant experience in trauma and crisis counseling.

I have a particular interest in working with children and teenagers who are experiencing issues with their family, peer, and/or dating relationships. I value spending time with families who are going through a hard time; specifically, helping families find their voice and their footing during everyday (or not-so-everyday) issues. I am also interested in working with individuals that wish to explore their varying identities (sexual, gender, ethnic, cultural, professional, etc.). As a Certified Positive Discipline Parenting Educator, I am able to offer a parent coaching style that invites parents and children to be both encouraging and respectful of each other and the parenting process.

When I am not with clients, I enjoy cooking, relaxing, and spending time with my husband and dog, Ophelia.
