t the age of eighteen I began volunteering at the National Teen Dating Abuse Helpline. Growing up I always knew I wanted to help other people; however, it wasn’t until that life-changing experience that I realized helping others would be a driving force for the rest of my life.

I understand and empathize with the fact that life happens and everyone experiences various challenges and uncertainties at one point in time or another. My approach to therapy is authentic, genuine, and free of judgment, so therapy with me will always feel comfortable (even when things get emotional or awkward) because you will always be able to be undeniably yourself. I am passionate about working with children, teenagers, and their family members and will provide a safe place for guidance and support through life’s inevitable curveballs.

I have over 8 years professional experience working with individuals with differing abilities, including: intellectual & developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, learning differences, and challenging behaviors as a mentor, nanny, teacher, and career development instructor. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Master of Arts in Counseling from St. Edward’s University.  I am also a Certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator, which promotes healthy boundaries and autonomy between all family members and teaches valuable social and life skills.

People often hesitate to ask for help, but I want you to know it is completely normal and beneficial to do so. Whatever your personal concerns may be, I am eager to work with you.
